Bearquilt is a 4 piece indie rock band based out of the Catskill mountains. Their songs allude to the 1990’s, both in sound and material. Their heavily-effected guitar sounds give an ambient overtone, while their soft / innocent vocal parts lend comfort to the ear. The songwriting of Alex Storm (rhythm guitar / vocals) has been described as “unique & catchy”, and Victor Lissabet’s guitar shredding has been referenced to the likes of Steve Miller- with a classic edge. Combined, it sounds like you took Dinosaur Jr. and the Gallagher brothers; threw them in a blender with a rusty metal file, add Duane Allman and a few cute guitar licks, maybe some vintage drum machines- and you get Bearquilt.
