As an actor friend of mine once said, “I do theatre, because I can’t not do it.”
I have been a theatre artist for over 30 years. I began as an actor at the age of 10 and ultimately evolved into a director, producer, playwright, and educator. I firmly believe the only way to perfect your craft is to boldly teach and inspire the next generation. Theatre is the only authentically ephemeral art form and the truest way to create active discourse with an audience. Above all else, theatre should engage community and inspire dialogue. If people do not leave asking questions about what they have experienced, I have not done my job.
