Liv Butowsky + Laura Coe

LIV BUTOWSKY is a multidisciplinary performance artist based in Troy, NY, with training across the spectrum of classical, contemporary, somatic, and folk dance. Liv’s work explores what it means to presence ourselves with the current moment; to resist political, ecological, and social numbing. Recent collaborators in movement, poetry, film, and research include Dirt Picture Studios, Bibiana Med, Hana van der Kolk, WordxWord, Edith Wharton’s The Mount, CapCity Slam, and various independent zines. Liv is an adjunct faculty member in the Documentary Studies department at Skidmore College, and has been a member of the Ellen Sinopoli Dance Company since 2024.

LAURA COE (Chickasaw) is a New York based choreographer and dancer whose work revolves around the idea of language, centering the interactive and conceptual power of people and places. She has performed repertory by Bill T. Jones and Sidra Bell, collaborated on community-based work with Liz Lerman and Matthew Cumbie, and recently participated in international residency Art OMI: Dance under the mentorship of Christopher Kaui Morgan (Hawaiian). Laura represents Harvard Breakers Crew and is a founding member of Double Yolk, which has presented work at Jacob’s Pillow, the Smithsonian Museum, and toured to the Netherlands.
