The Chase Brock Experience

The Chase Brock Experience, called “peppy, poppy, and amped up with theater geek zeal” (The New Yorker) and celebrated for its “stylized showbiz mayhem” (The New York Times), is the dance company of choreographer Chase Brock, now in its 18th season. Mr. Brock has made 34 works for the company – featuring 9 commissioned scores – which have premiered in New York seasons at Abrons Arts Center, Joyce SoHo, Dance New Amsterdam, Baruch Performing Arts Center, The Connelly Theater and Theatre Row, where CBE is a company-in-residence. CBE has appeared in Fire Island Dance Festival, Hudson River Dance Festival, La MaMa Moves!, Jacob’s Pillow Inside/Out and Hudson Valley Dance Festival, at The Joyce Theater, the 92nd St Y and Broadway’s New Amsterdam Theatre, and on tour from North Carolina to Maine. CBE has received commissions from Dancers Responding to AIDS, Works & Process at The Guggenheim, Thalian Hall and The Wilson Center, and residencies at The Watermill Center and Catskill Mountain Foundation. CBE Education, led by Ashley Newman, is a robust extension of the company’s work, exposing a broad range of students to the methods and repertory of the company through classes, workshops and intensives.
