About O+

Launched in 2010 in Kingston, NY by a small group of artist-activists, doctors, and a dentist, O+ Festivals are weekend long events that bring muralists, musicians and performers, art shows, and movement workshops into a community. In exchange, these artists receive a variety of health services donated by doctors, dentists and complementary care providers at the O+ Wellness Clinic. Now entering O+’s 16th year, the organization now operates year round including art, music and wellness programming for the public as well as a NY State licensed PLLC (Medicine for Artists), providing exchange based healthcare services to our creative community. O+ continues to build resilient communities through a culture of care that values everyone’s contribution to individual and collective wellbeing.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

The role is currently a part-time salaried position (avg. of 20 hours/week) with a possibility of expansion to a full-time salaried position in the future, contingent on funding and performance. 

Your tasks will include, but are not limited to: 

  • Fielding alumni requests for care and providing referrals for alumni to pathways to care including Medicaid/Medicare, local healthcare institutions, O+’s network of providers, telehealth, etc.
  • Proactive procurement of providers for our Exchange, in response to specific requests
  • Assisting with clinic related outreach (with a focus on providers and patients) 
  • Participating in the development of language and protocols related to wellness/clinic operations; including forms, intake procedures, social media content, email communications, website info, etc. 
  • Taking part in a weekly Wellness Circle meeting with O+ Medical Director and associated team members (approx. 1 hour) 
  • Acting as first person of contact for partnered care access initiatives 
  • Collecting/documenting/vetting all provider agreements (Exchange, code of conduct, licensure, others), insurance coverages, coordination preferences and promotional materials
  • Participating in clinic event coordination, scheduling, data, vetting, appointment management, and assessment 
  • Primary care provider coordination, scheduling, data organization
  • Patient coordination, scheduling, communication/follow-up
  • Participating as a representative of year round services in the O+ Festival Clinic 
  • Acting as an ambassador with providers and the public at large to O+s mission and the positive impacts of the year round exchange for care 
  • Ensuring HIPAA Compliance throughout all tasks

What you’ll bring:

  • Data organization and analysis, and facility with spreadsheets
  • Dedication to, and comfort with, accurately representing the parameters, limitations, protocols, etc. of the clinic and organization
  • Background in healthcare administration a plus
  • Knowledge of EMR management a plus
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English a plus

MORE ABOUT THE RO+LE

The O+ Team works within a shared leadership model. Your participation in this structure will be integral to the sustainability, growth and health of the organization. The organization utilizes a flat compensation model in which all salaried staff members are compensated at an equivalent hourly rate. This equates to approximately $32,307.50 annually. This part-time, salaried position includes paid time off, long term access to sabbatical, and health benefits. Please note, salary negotiations will not be a part of the hiring process as a result of this predetermined structure. O+ recognizes that you may need flexibility in your work schedule and need to work remotely at times.
