Kristin Talka, Licensed Psychologist

Hello! I’ve been practicing in the field of mental health since 2001, having worked with a variety of populations and needs over the years including mood disorders, substance abuse and neurological based conditions. I have enjoyed working in my private practice in Uptown Kingston since 2011, servicing the local community in which I live in. Despite challenging life circumstances, I genuinely believe (and have witnessed) that people have the ability to create positive change for themselves. Psychotherapy can service as an important medium to help these changes to take place. In sum, I work to help people kick ass a little better than they did the day before!

So for vibrant communities to thrive – we need strong and healthy nurturers. Although women have traditionally taken on this role, Nurturers come in all gender identities. Here in Kingston, Dr. von Miller has spearheaded a low-cost community acupuncture clinic in conjunction with the Hudson Valley LGBTQ Center that runs weekly providing access to holistic healthcare to an underserved population.
