Kingston Black History Month Public Art Tour

February 9th

NEW DATE – MARCH 8th, 12pm @ 693 Broadway

Rescheduled from its February date, this mural tour tour of public art in Midtown Kingston that highlights artists amplifying BIPOC identity, stories, history and expression.

Join us Saturday March 8th at 12noon for this free walking tour presented in partnership with Kingston Black History Month and My Kingston Kids. The tour will start in the park at Radio Kingston located at 693 Broadway and run approximately 90 minutes. We will discuss public works produced by O+ artists and also have the opportunity to learn more about the neon artwork created at Lite Brite Neon, illuminating work being fabricating there in collaboration with contemporary artists.

Attendees are then welcome to continue on with us for a special viewing of CPW Kingston’s new exhibition by Keisha Scarville and to learn more about the work from the curator Marina Chao.

Visit Black History Month Kingston and follow @mykingstonkidsonline for their full calendar of events throughout the year. And please reach out with accessibility or other questions/concerns regarding the public art tour at info@opositivefestival.org and follow us on IG for updates.
