Full Walrus is the solo project of Noah Schneidman from Woodstock, NY. Now based in Burlington Vermont, the group has a nostalgic atmosphere and dreamy melodic sound that sometimes drifts into noise-ridden crescendos.
For the past several years, Tom Christie has been arranging an ever-twisting and shifting song of his own. Beginning in New York’s Hudson Valley where he grew up, Tom fleshed out the soft and intricate songs that became the first Fraternal Twin album ‘Skin Gets Hot.’ Released quietly in the spring of 2015, the album passed from fan to fan and developed a cult reputation based on its uniquely intimate display of raw emotion.
Around this time, Christie got together a steady backing band comprised of Max Restaino on drums and David Grimaldi on bass. Together, they formed a much-needed backbone for the songs that Tom was writing for the follow-up to ‘Skin Gets Hot.’
As it turns out, ‘Homeworlding’ is an impressively natural progression from their debut. In the span of just under a half hour we hear Fleetwood Mac-indebted pop songs, Tom Verlaine-esque guitar leads, ambient composition and watery folk songs quickly passing by in a way that demands repeat listens in order to fully comprehend the depth of the lyrics and songwriting. The commonality throughout ‘Homeworlding’ is the acceptance of the vast world around you and the fact that your own fate is nearly always out of your control.
Initially, Vinay received knowledge in vocal/harmonium/tabla from Shafiq Rahman in his teens. After completing his college in both Pre-pharmaceutical science as well as Pre-Law in Delaware, Vinay sought out to learn Santoor in India. In 2011, with blessings and direct guidance of Padma Vibhushan Pandit Shivkumar Sharma, Vinay began his studies under Takahiro Arai and Dhananjay Daithankar. Hiding Behind Sound is the psychologically accurate songwriting and recording alias of the drummer Sammi Niss, a long-time fixture on the Hudson valley music scene and a founding member of the bands Battle Ave., American Film History, and Frankie & His Fingers. Sammi has toured and recorded with Laura Stevenson, Matt Pond PA, Pelican Movement, and many others. Hiding Behind Sound’s debut full length, ‘Words Escape,’ was written and recorded before, during, and after her treatment for stage IV non-Hodgkins lymphoma.
Co-produced with Kevin McMahon (Titus Andronicus, Real Estate, Widowspeak), ‘Words Escape’ was performed almost entirely by Sammi. The hurt cool of the songwriting and the unvarnished vocals suggest the influence of Jeff Tweedy and the The Velvet Underground; the lavish guitar arrangements and tidal dynamics belong more to the tradition of Radiohead and post-rock. It is music reverberant and turbulent, knowing and naive. The depth and assurance of the arrangements contrast with the innocence of the singing, its sense of “first voice.” She just calls it “space twang.”
Unmotivated naturalist, writing songs instead, Keenan O’Meara was born in Maryland and is now living in Shandaken. Keenan writes a mix of personal and ethereal sentiments in a way that feels easy going.
a place both wonderful and strange is the Brooklyn-based Occult Electronic Dance performance art moniker of Shanda Woods, Laura Hajek and Russ Marshalek. Dark, moody, experimental electronic dance music inspired in equal parts by David Lynch and Janet Jackson’s Rhythm Nation 1814. This is the dark future. #NewJackWitch
Eli and Kenny are a band and they love music. TOP nachos is the band and they wrote an ep and ever since they cant stop writing music. Music; like songs about catching grandma smoking that green and other songs like about tindr and selfies also driving and sleeping. Punk is the music and 2 is the number. Music, what else can you say, other than we’re from New Paltz NY. TOP nachos has been on the road many times to bring music to the people and as long as the people want music, TOP nachos will be the music that people will listen to on the road.
Thank you,

Ian Flanigan “inspires a nostalgic sentiment akin to wistful escapism… emotional without being weepy, vulnerable without being pitiful, and conceptual while still remaining relatable” (Gallagher, SUNY editorial). Flanigan’s sound—an eclectic blend of progressive folk and percussive fingerstyle—is reminiscent of the road less traveled, paved with poignant lyrical truths of his past. Local to upstate New York, Flanigan’s songwriting features his rich, husky voice and evocative lyrics highlighting the rural landscape of his compositions. Each song serenades the unity of life and an affinity for atonement—a sound that’s provocative, and familiar. This year he celebrates his place as a Kerrville Grassy Hill New Folk Festival finalist. Flanigan has had the pleasure of sharing stages with, Sean Rowe, The Pedrito Martinez Group, Session Americana, Chris Knight, and Dwight Yoakam.

The Golden Grass are THEE definitive heavy boogie rock group of today! They’re a monstrous rock n roll power trio with three lead singers and a dazzling classic touch. The group effortlessly draws their influence from the greatest musical ideas from when Rock Ruled The World; it’s as if they truly ARE from that Golden classic era. But their gift to us in The Now, and it is an epic, soulful, and hard-hitting maelstrom of feel-good, anthemic and tough swinging sounds. Their music will transport you earnestly, truthfully, and with a style and flare wholly their own. It’s all in there too; the throbbing shuffle of the Blues, the deep haze of wild Psychedelia, the American flavored Southern Rock, the mind-warping fantasy of early Progressive/Jazz Rock, the pulsating British Freakbeat/Mod sound, heavy doses of Proto-metal power, and the funky/soulful touch of Northern Soul to seal the deal.
Since their formation in 2013, they have released 3 full length LPs and 5 split-releases/EPs across a slew of European based recording labels such as Listenable Records, Svart Records, Heavy Psych Sounds & Who Can You Trust? Records. They have toured Europe 4 times, and have done significant playing/touring in the US Northeast/Mid-West. They have had the honour of supporting legendary 60’s/70’s acts such as Deep Purple, Captain Beyond & Corky Laing of Mountain, as well as a slew of contemporary international touring acts across the underground hard rock, doom, heavy metal, and rock n roll scenes!
