WO+rd
WO+RD is a literary salon at the O+ Festival that includes interactive readings celebrating diverse voices across genres including poetry, fiction, nonfiction, comedy, spoken word, prose, plays, and everything in between. Writers are invited to bring in works aligned with the Festival’s yearly theme, which is encouraged but not required. We want writers to stretch and explore the limits of genre and create something truly unique and surprising, resulting in energetic, form-bending storytelling events you won’t want to miss.
We welcome folks of all ages and levels of experience to read, recite, perform, sign, or speak words of all forms, languages and genres. We strongly encourage, and may prioritize, original work but are also open to found text, dramatic interpretations, etc. We expect writers to provide appropriate and thorough credit for all text that is not your own.
