Sheri is a creative recipe developer and writer of articles for websites and blogs. During the summer months, she works as a food allergy specialist at Camp Emerson.

Sheri has interests in demystifying food marketing and assisting individuals and families with making skillful and economical food choices.

Sheri Iodice holds a bachelor’s degree Human Nutrition from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She is a credentialed Registered Dietitian and Massachusetts Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist. Teacher bio: HariPrakaash teaches Kundalini Yoga, Meditation and Gong Sound Healing. In 1996 she began her practice in Woodstock, New York. She has been a teacher of Yoga since 2006. Her Sadhana (personal practice) and classes benefit from her love for music, creative spirit, and connection to planet Earth. Her prayer is that the teachings continue to flow through her accurately and authentically. She is deeply grateful for her teachers, the teachings and the energy that flows through her.

HariPrakaash brought Kundalini Yoga and the “Gong Movement” to the Hudson Valley of NY in a very grassroots way, by teaching out of her living room. She has inspired and guided dozens of people to take KRI teacher training and become teachers themselves. She continues to inspire and uplift the individuals she teaches daily.

I’ve taught in Vail, CO, Truckee, CA, Tahoe City, CA, Stateline, NV, Reno, NV and Martha’s Vineyard, MA. I have taught at Fitness conventions and certified people to teach Pilates. I was the first person in the US to be certified to teach Pelvic Floor Pilates and was certified to teach Pilates at the Pilates center in Boulder as well in Vail, CO.

Opeyemi Parham, M.D. — Dr. O’s Medicine Show

Dr. O will present 3 short acts, over one hour, on medically important CROSSROAD (theme = X) MOMENTS that have led us to the mess we call U.S. healthcare and policy. Special attention will go to “edu-taining” healthcare consumers on the specific places we each need to take more personal responsibility, navigating with grace and humor, our journey to wellness in a corrupted system, where health is a commodity in a business model of delivering services.

Doctor O is a 62 year old Black woman with 22 years of life experience as an active family practitioner. In 2007, she “went feral”, reclaiming her rights as an artist– healing– and leaving the conventional medical model. Now, she is ROGUE, and uses voice, song, written word, dance and theater in her evolving role as intinerant community activist, healing artist, and “edu-tainer”.

Richard “Dick” Sloane — Terminal Wellness

Teacher bio: Dick Sloane is the Founder and CEO of the Health Warrior Way. Dick is a health and wellness mentor and business consultant with over 25 years of experience working with Global 500 firms all over the world. He lives in the Hudson Valley in upstate New York.

In September 2013, at the age of 49, Dick was diagnosed with prostate cancer.

Two urologists, including a surgeon from one of the leading cancer centers in the world recommended surgery. Instead, Dick became a Health Warrior. He adopted a comprehensive, doctor-supervised program of lifestyle interventions – diet, exercise, supplements and stress management – that were so effective that within two years he was cancer-free.

Dick’s mission in life now is to create an army of Health Warriors!

Teacher bio: Shannon Toye is an herbalist and shamanic medicine woman who is enchanted by the practice of wild-crafting, plant medicine, energy work and sound vibration therapy.

She believes that preventative care is one of the fundamental components missing from today’s healthcare industry, and that optimum physical health can be achieved by nourishing the systems of the body with plant based products created simply from traditional folk wild-crafting methods, sustainable harvesting and cultivating native local medicinal plants.

Teacher bio: Certified Chi Walking/ Running coach. A.C.E personal trainer. Involved in martial arts for 30 years. Third degree black belt in Vee Jitsu and have studied many arts such as Tai Chi, Judo and Tae Kwon Do. Attended Skidmore College’s Master’s program studying Holistic Wellness and Exercise Science focusing on how mind/body practices can improve physical performance.

Sue holds a bachelors degree in Stress Management and a masters degree in Social Work. A clinical social worker, Sue has worked for 34 years in the fields of behavioral health, hospice and oncology.
