Pedro Marques – Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
NO GI – ALL LEVELS Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
Our adults’ No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu classes focus on dynamic grappling techniques without the traditional gi, offering a fresh and engaging approach to Jiu-Jitsu. We prioritize a safe training environment, emphasizing injury prevention and longevity in the sport. Our interactive classes encourage students to ask questions and actively participate, with instructors tailoring their teaching methods to suit individual learning styles. Private lessons are available for those seeking personal growth and a deeper connection with the martial art. At Ascension, we create a fun and supportive environment where students can develop discipline and respect while enhancing their self-defense skills. Each class builds confidence and capability, making us the best place in the Hudson Valley to learn No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu.
PANDA CUBS – KIDS Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (6-12yr)
At Ascension, our philosophy that Jiu-Jitsu is more than self-defense, or a sport and is an incredible tool for an individual’s restoration, rejuvenation and development is perhaps even more profoundly true for children today. The mats at Ascension are a safe place where kids can be kids, connecting with others through a creative combination of play and practiced technique, eventually leading to sparring “live”. In our kids Jiu-Jitsu classes, your child will find a safe place to develop martial arts and self-defense skills. But more importantly learn how to respond and remain composed in the face of real challenges, how to problem solve, understand their capabilities and limits, all while relating to and developing empathy for others.
