Shawn Harrison

Gentle Yoga

The essence of our Gentle class is the same as Open Yoga – combing movement, mindfulness breath and philosophical study. The pace is slower, the emphasis on the breath is stronger and there may or may not be sun salutations. This slow pace gives you the space to feel your breath and experience each posture.

Shawn teaches yoga and meditation throughout the Hudson Valley. She created Mudita Yoga Lab in Kingston, NY 10 years ago. Shawn is interested in self-awareness rather self-improvement. She brings this spacious attitude to all her classes, offering an opportunity for exploration and discovery through the practice of yoga and meditation. Her classes focus on breath, mindfulness and loving-kindness.

I am an Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki Master & Karuna Reiki® Master; Shamanic Reiki Master; Sound Healer; Advanced IET®. I also hold an M.A. Psychology, M.S. Computer Science, B.S. Business Administration.

Reiki can assist people not just with physical ailments, but also emotional and spiritual issues… helping to move beyond those blocks that prevents deep healing. I believe in a Holistic approach to care that can include (but is not limited to) traditional Western medicine, Eastern modalities, acupuncture, Naturopathy, Psychotherapy, Spiritual guidance, Reiki and Self-care. Reiki is a complement to any other treatment. We can’t truly heal unless we heal at all levels.

SHADOW WITCH

“They are the band your big brother listened to, the band your dad loved, the one your sister lost her virginity to, the one your mother screamed for to be turned down, the one you always wanted to be in.”
Frazer Jones from www.stonerking1.blogspot.com

“This band have a lot going for them. The vocals from Earl are impressive throughout and the instrumental work is just so damn good!
I’ve heard these guys being compared to Graveyard, Mastodon, Clutch and Sabbath, so it tells you how expansive their sound actually is. Shadow Witch are worth giving a damn about.”
“Shadow Witch have huge potential here and I think we could be hearing a lot more of these guys in the years to come.”
“Shadow Witch play to their strengths as they deliver an album that is all killer and no filler. This album is a serious statement of intent and it will end up as one of my favorite albums of the year “
Steve Howe from www.outlawsofthesun.blogspot.com

“Shadow Witch have been listening to old school hard rock, doom metal, stoner rock and grunge a lot in their days and now translate all those influences into their own sound. That sound contains loads of fuzz, fingerlicking riffs and damn great vocals. ”
Title track ‘Sun Killer’ does the trick, blending vintage doom metal with elements from grunge, as if Alice In Chains & Soundgarden invaded Candlemass’ recording studio.”

PONTOON

Imagine if you could take loyalty, friendship, wit and humor, and combine it with laser beams, neon lights, robots, ninjas, and Sasquatch, to create a musical genre? PONTOON did just that.
These 3 oddly ordinary guys, bring the unconventional to the stage, in the form of
1 drum kit, 2 trombones,
4 synthesizers, 1 vocoder, lots of pedals and cords and wires, and quite often, live projections.

Their tracks are all originals and completely unplanned. Their songs are created as they collaborate during live sessions. A highly creative musical banter so to speak. Song titles present themselves during this process, as history, current and events, and plans for the future are woven together, allowing them to evolve as musicians, friends, and cavemen.
3 childhood friends, originally from Ramsey New Jersey, who began playing together in Brooklyn NY in 1999. They now call Beacon home.
They are everything that you’ve never expected. they are PONTOON.
